Marie Roux - Actor, Writer, Producer Born of French parents in Gabon, Marie grew up between Africa and Europe. At an early age, she joined the Regional Theatrical Conservatory of St Raphael and was soon accepted at the prestigious French National Theatrical Conservatory. In Paris she studied under Dominique Leverd, a master in the world of Theatre. On the Parisian stage, Marie performed in plays such as: “Antigone,” “Amadeus,” “La Double Inconstance," and “L'ecole des Femmes.” On camera, Marie played opposite award-winner Souad Amidou in “And If We Would Live Together" (N. Camidebach) - nominated for the Clap d'Or Award at “The Sens International Film Festival.” Marie also appeared in “Extreme Limits,” an acclaimed TV program (TF1). Marie was selected to study under the coaching of Actor's Studio and Lee Strasberg Institute laureate Jack Waltzer. Waltzer is credited with training such stars as Dustin Hoffman, John Voight, Sharon Stone, and Sigourney Weaver.

Not surprisingly, Marie moved to Hollywood and joined the "Stella Adler Academy of Acting.” Her most acclaimed work on the LA stages included the lead role of Satin in Maxim Gorky's masterwork "The Lower Depth” and her performance in "Happy Christmas, Merry Chanuka" at The Company of Angels.

The versatile actress has expanded her skills to include writing and producing. Her production company MRfeatures’ first accomplishment, REMEMBER THE EYES, in which she stars, has been selected all over the world. It made its world premiere in May, 2008 at the Short Film Corner of the 60th Cannes Film Festival. After this success, she collaborated once more with director Nathalie Camidebach in INNOCENCE REMAINS, a short film that she wrote, produced and stars in. The film has been selected in numerous festivals all over the world and made its Los Angeles premiere at the Artivist Film Festival in 2009. Most recently she has started pre-production on her first feature film: I LEAVE HERE, a script co-written with award-winning writer Jennifer Deaton. Marie will portray the lead role of the French character in a story about the right to love and live where our destiny calls.
Marie is a triple black belt in Ho Shin Moo Do, Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido.
